Giclée Prints and Cards

The term giclée (pronounced “zhee-clay”) comes from the French word “gicler” which means “to squirt.” A giclée is a high resolution digital print of archival quality produced by a meticulously calibrated, ink-jet process utilizing a continuous fine stream of pigmented inks sprayed onto specially treated, heavy weight fine art papers, canvas, or fabrics.
Giclée has become recognized as a fine art printmaking method just like lithographs and serigraphs. This contemporary process produces limited edition museum quality prints distinguished by accuracy of detail, superior color density and luminosity, and permanence.
Limited edition giclée prints should be treated as any original piece of fine art; i.e. kept from direct sunlight, extreme heat, or humidity. They may be displayed, framed, and matted at the owner’s choice, in classic gallery-style.
